What is sexual harassment?
Sexual harassment includes any unwanted sexual act, whether physical or verbal, that takes place against the will of the person concerned. People in relationships of dependency, for example between superiors and employees or between adults and children, are particularly at risk. However, sexual harassment can also occur between peers, for example in work groups or courses. It is important to know that unintentional violations of boundaries can also occur - for example through touching or inappropriate comments. As boundaries vary from person to person, this can also happen unintentionally.
Are you affected? We are here for you.
If you have experienced sexual harassment, do not hesitate to contact the decentralized Equal Opportunities Office of the Faculty of Medicine. We will take your concerns seriously and guide you through the next steps.
